Welcome to the IDDS (Irish Dance Dress Shop) site for posting Irish dance solo dresses for sale. If you have questions on how to use this site please read this page first. If your question is not answered, feel free to contact me and I'll get back to you as quick and I can!

How To Create An Account

  • To create an account you click the blue "Register" button in the set of buttons at the very top of the page.
  • You can fill out the form to enter a username and email address (both are required) and also the other fields as desired.
  • You will then receive an email with your password so that you can login. This is a security feature so that people cannot create accounts with other peoples email addresses and post random things!
  • You should change your password right after you login to keep your account secure!

How To Change Your Password

  • You must login to your account first using the blue "Login" button at the top.
  • After you login you will see a menu underneath the main pink bar. Choose the "My Profile" to show your information.
  • You may type in a new password (twice) to set your new password.

How To Post A Dress Listing

  • First login to the site (or register a new account).
  • Click on the blue "Submit Ad" button at the top of the page.
  • Select which category (by age) that the dress listing fits into. Some categories are broken down into sub-categories (such as 10-12). If you choose a sub-category, the listing will show up in both the sub-category and the main category (10-14).
  • Enter the dress information in the appropriate fields. The more info you enter, the easier someone will be able to search and find your dress.
  • You may upload photos of the dress by choosing a photo from your computer. Photo sizes must be smaller than 1M or they will be rejected. You can resize or compress your photos if they will not upload. Or contact me if you need help! Most photos will upload ok.
  • Once your dress listing is submitted you will have to wait to have it approved. This is a security feature to make sure that we don't get inappropriate content on the site. I want to be especially careful about that with having young dancers looking at the site. So I thank you for your understanding with that! Most listings get approved within 12-24 hours.
  • If it says the pictures are too large, you can still save your listing without the photos (remove the photo data) and then add the photos later.

Can I Edit My Dress Listing?

  • Yes you can edit your own dress listing at any time!! You don't need to contact me to edit your listing for you.
  • You can change any of the information about the dress, including images.
  • If your price is showing wrong, please read the next section on why the price isn't showing!
  • To edit your listing....just choose the "Modify" link from the blue bar on the listing page. Make sure you are logged into your account.

Why Doesn't My Price Show?

  • Did you enter a price and it is only showing 0 on the listing? You may have entered a letter or symbol in the price field.
  • You should only enter numbers in the price field and then use the currency field to display what currency the value is.

How To Post A Photo

  • When editing a listing or creating a new one, you can choose to upload photos from your computer.
  • Select the "Browse" button and then use the window to find the picture on your computer. When you save your listing your photos will be uploaded to the site.
  • Photos must be smaller than 1M and a size less than 1000 pixels wide or tall. If your photo is too large you will see an error message in the purple bar shown above your listing detail after trying to save. If you need help with posting a photo feel free to contact me.

Rules for Posting Photos

  • Please do not post photos of children and their faces. If possible please crop off or blur the face of the child. I prefer it if you could only post photos of the dresses. If I find photos with children in them I may edit them to remove the child or blur the face.
  • You may not post photos that include children that are not your own children! No exceptions! Do not post group photos or they will be removed. If you need help editing a photo to only show your dress you may contact me and I will help you.
